In October 2024, Mike Keneally and I met for the first time in Heinävesi, East Finland. We spent a week together performing at outdoor locations in and around Heinävesi. Taking inspiration from those performances I wrote 5 pieces of music that are impressionistic representations of the landscape. For this album, I wanted to relive the spirit of the collaborative experience and release a musical record of post-events.
